Contact lenses have become so comfortable to wear that we often times forget they are considered medical devices and can increase corneal infection rates. You can liken a contact lens to a little sponge. It soaks up whatever it has been exposed to and chronically exposes your cornea to those substances for the duration that you have the contact lens on your eye. This is why it so important to remove your lenses every night and clean them and also replace them regularly according to the advised schedule. These infections are real and they do occur. Please don't let this be your eye!

So eat a big salad of leafy greens at lunch and dinner. If you're having a hard time with the taste or texture, try mak

Fresh Day contact lenses are one of the newest lenses on the market. We've gotten great feedback from patients that have a difficult time wearing contact lenses, whether from dryness or allergies. What I also love about them is that they come in a multifocal option that actually works. Call our office if you'd like to try them.
