Dr. Emily Curry

Dr. Emily Curry graduated magna cum laude in 2003 from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry. She then continued on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2007, where she graduated first in her class. While at OSU, she earned the 2007 Beta Sigma Kappa Silver Medal for highest academic performance and the 2007 Vistakon Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care.

Upon graduation, Dr. Curry joined TLC Laser Eye Centers as clinical director in Charleston, SC. She then moved into private practice before starting Sweetgrass Eyecare in 2014.Sweetgrass Eyecare has long been a dream of Dr. Curry's. As a daughter of a veterinarian, Dr. Curry grew up in a small animal practice and has fond memories of watching her dad perform surgeries. Dr. Curry enjoys all aspects of optometry, but especially enjoys refractive surgery and fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Curry is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Association.

Dr. Curry is married to Peter, an electrical engineer and mathematician. They have three children, Tate, Belle, and Bo. She is an avid Detroit Tigers and OSU Buckeye fan, and also loves horseback riding, photography, and cooking healthy meals for her family.
